PASIG CITY, 24 November 2022 – Vietnam National Assembly (NA) President Vuong Dinh Hue paid a courtesy call on Vice President Sara Z. Duterte at the Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office in Pasig City. NA President Vuong congratulated the Vice President on her election and conveyed his well wishes.
During the call, NA President Vuong conveyed their interest to enhance partnerships with the Philippines through party to party, government to government, and people to people exchanges. He also expressed their intent to strengthen cooperation on trade and investment, maritime, security, defense, agriculture, education and training in the bilateral and regional levels.

NA President Vuong highlighted that education is a top priority of Vietnam. Vice President Duterte informed NA President Vuong of her interest to discuss with Vietnam’s Education Ministry to improve education in both the Philippines and Vietnam.
Towards the end of the call, NA President Vuong sought the Vice President’s support to increase cooperation between Davao and a province in Vietnam, and in further increasing trade and investment between the Philippines and Vietnam.
