Thai Ambassador Tull Traisorat Discusses Cooperation on Education With Vice President Sara Z. Duterte

MANDALUYONG CITY, 21 September 2022 – Thai Ambassador Tull Traisorat called on Vice President Sara Z. Duterte at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) Central Office in Mandaluyong City.

In his remarks, the Ambassador congratulated the Vice President for a successful hosting of the flag raising ceremony in commemoration of the 55th Founding Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on 08 August 2022 at the Department of Education (DepEd) Central Office in Pasig City. He also thanked the Vice President for the latter’s letter to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Thailand on the occasion of her 90th birthday in August 2022.

On education cooperation, Ambassador Traisorat shared that they work closely with the Philippines and thanked the Department of Education (DepEd) for their usual support. He talked about the Princess Maha Chakri Award (PMCA) named after Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn which recognizes dedicated teachers and highlighted that Filipino teachers won the award in the past. He also discussed the Siam Cement Group (SCG) Sharing the Dream Scholarship Program that annually grants scholarships to high school and college under privileged students and offers possible employment to their company afterwards.
