This website adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA.     At 12:00 noon, the Vice President attended the Mass for Peace in Henry Sy Sr. Hall, De La Salle University (DLSU), Taft Avenue, Manila. The mass was organized by DLSU as part of its advocacy to commemorate the 46thanniversary of the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines.

    In her speech, the Vice President discussed how the country continues to battle the many different threats to democracy even after the Martial Law. She emphasized that it is through empowering each citizen that all these threats will be overcome. “Kung tutuusin, hindi ba’t nasubukan na rin natin ang kamay na bakal na pamumuno at ang diktadurya? Sa ilalim ng Martial Law noon, dumanak ang dugo at gumuho ang mga institusyon. Hinding-hindi natin hahayaang makalimutan na lamang ang dami ng buhay na ibinuwis at ang paghihirap na dinulot nito sa ating sambayanan. Kung muli natin itong babalikan at sisiyasatin, makikita natin na ang sagot sa ating mga problema ay hindi ang pagkawala ng demokrasya; ang sagot ay ang mas pagbibigay ng lakas at kapangyarihan sa mga mamamayan.”

    At 2:00 pm, the Vice President proceeded to watch the premier of “Liway” in UP Film Institute (UPFI) Film Center, University of the Philippines, Quezon City. The movie is an independent film about the lives of Cecilia “Liway” Flores-Oebanda and her son, Dakip, during the Martial Law era.
