The Vice President was in Camarines Sur for a series of events.
At 4:00 pm, she attended the Omasenso sa Kabuhayan Meeting with Mr. Romy Tan, owner of Liberty Commercial Center (LCC), and Omasenso sa Kabuhayan Farmers Core Group. They were formally introduced to one another to talk about the plans moving forward with the partnership. The Office of the Vice President (OVP) aims for the Omasenso sa Kabuhayan Farmers to be one of the local farmers supplying to LCC because of the opportunity it could give to the OVP’s beneficiaries. LCC is one of the pioneer commercial establishments in Albay Province and in the Bicol Region, engaged in retail business. It operates supermarkets, department stores, food operations, mall operations, and property developments.
At 5:00 pm, the Vice President attended the opening of the Bishop Francisco Gainza Trade Fair in Robinson’s Place Naga. Bishop Francisco Gainza pioneered the First Agro-Industrial Fair in Bicol in 1875. The fair was revived and named after the good Bishop in September 2010. The fair’s vision: As a community of disciples, the Archdiocese of Caceres commits to building God’s Kingdom by alleviating poverty through entrepreneurship and solidarity that promote integral development.
