OVP sets strategic roadmap, targets more meaningful programs

TAGAYTAY CITY—The Office of the Vice President successfully conducted its Annual Planning Conference at the Development Academy of the Philippines Conference Center from January 17 to 20.

Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Zuleika T. Lopez reminded OVP officials of their duty as public servants, driven by a collective vision and commitment to growth.

"Our year had ups and downs, hot and cold moments. This is given, and one thing always remains: Vision,” she said.

She emphasized the importance of setting clear targets to guide the OVP’s direction. “…we know where we will go, but the most important part is that we first know where we are. Knowing where we are is the key to reaching where we will go,” she said.

The planning conference was aimed to assess performance commitments and accomplishments from the past year and formulate solutions to address challenges faced by the Office.

Resource speakers and facilitators from the Development Academy of the Philippines, headed by DAP President and CEO, lawyer Engelbert C. Caronan, Jr, helped facilitate the conference, providing valuable insights and expertise during sessions and activities.

The gathering focused on discussing the roadmap of the OVP for the upcoming years. In addition to strategic planning, participants engaged in team-building activities designed for collaboration and camaraderie among attendees.

As OVP moves forward, it remains dedicated to growth and learning, reiterating its commitment to its mission of providing meaningful programs and effective services for the betterment of the Filipino people.
