OVP-DOC leads relief operations in flood-hit MisOcc

MANDALUYONG CITY — The Office of the Vice President Disaster Operations Center (OVP-DOC) led the relief operations for the affected families in flood-devastated areas in Misamis Occidental late last month.

The OVP-DOC, along with government and private groups in the Province of Misamis Occidental, delivered 364 sacks of rice for the affected residents in the towns of Clarin, Tudela, Sinacaban, Jimenez, Panaon, Oroquieta, Plaridel, and Aloran on December 29 and 30.

Based on the OVP-DOC survey around the province on December 28, a total of 29,291 individuals or 7,822 families were affected by the flood that hit the province.
