Magandang magandang umaga.
Dahil I have seen the evolution of the bus terminal at the Araneta Center since 1982 when I entered college.
Ewan ko po kung naaalala ninyo pa ang pinakauna naming sinasakyan was the parking lot in front of SM Cubao.
But this was just an open space and I remember, there was just one restaurant where we can eat.
And that terminal went on for a—ito na iyon, this was the very terminal na open noon. The buses were here for a long time.
And I’m very glad that finally, we have a world-class bus terminal through this Araneta Center Bus Port.
Pero really this, this, we have gone a long way from where we started before.
Everyone of you knows that I prefer riding buses and I know the difficulties that every, that every passenger goes through pag naghihintay. But really, this will give a lot of comfort, this will make the bus-riding public safer and more comfortable as they wait and alight from their buses.
So thank you very much to the Araneta Group of Companies for your service to the Filipino people. Magandang umaga po.
