Interview of ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro with Raffy Magno

    Office of the Vice President

    18 June 2017

Program Officer of the Anti-Poverty Advocacies and Programs, Office of the Vice President Xavier University, 18 June 2017

Q: For all the…… [Inaudible] Raffy: Continuation ito ng relief and response effort ng Office of the Vice President sa nangyaring clash dito sa Marawi. Last week or two weeks ago, o several days after mag-start ng clash sa Marawi, nag-deploy na tayo ng team dito to begin relief operations ng OVP to augment the efforts of the government sa pagpapadala ng food and non-food items doon sa mga displaced families. So ito, just a continuation, last operations we released more than 3,000, almost 3,000 food packs, and non-food items tapos ngayon naman ang target natin is to release 5,000 food packs. Meron tayong 1,000 blankets mula sa Tzu Chi Foundation, meron din tayong water filters mula sa Physicians for Peace, at UP-PGH at marami pang ibang donations galing sa Kaya Natin Movement for Good Governance Ethical Leadership and other organizations supporting the Angat Buhay program of the Office of the Vice President.

Q: Ito pong 5,000 is this good only for Marawi? Raffy: Ano siya, coordinated kasi yung efforts din sa province, sa ARMM Heart… sa Marawi City, sa Iligan City para targeted talaga yung mabibigyan ng food packs at ma-reach yung mga hindi pa nare-reach as of the moment. So we are directly coordinating with them para ma-spread out yung resources na iyon.

Q: Ah, hindi naman sinasabi na “eto, for Iligan lang, eto for Cagayan de Oro”. Kasi maraming displaced eh. Raffy: Yes. So yun.

Q: Okay. Maliban po dito may mga upcoming pa? Raffy: Yes.

Q: Thank you. Raffy: Maraming salamat po.
