The Vice President was in Cebu for a series of engagements.
At 8:30 am, she attended the blessing and turnover of San Remigio Mental Health Facility at the Municipal Hall Complex, Poblacion, San Remigio. The Office of the Vice President (OVP) helped in the construction of San Remigio’s Mental Health Facility in September 2018 and was completed in December 2018. This project was in line with the priority issue identified by San Remigio to be addressed under the Bridging Leadership Program. With the help of OVP’s Angat Buhayprogram, the LGU has partnered with the Philippine Mental Health Association Cebu Chapter, Solana Foundation, and ANCOP Foundation.
At 1:00 pm, the Vice President proceeded to the Ahon Laylayan KoalisyonCebu Provincial Planning Session at the Bernardo Benedicto Conventional Hall, Cebu City. The event was represented by 14 basic sectors: women, transport, labor, farmers, fisherfolk, 4Ps, solo parents, PWD cooperatives, formal and informal sectors, youth, senior citizens, and urban poor. The session was aimed towards helping the various civil society organizations in attendance to formulate people’s agenda and activities for their respective sectors.
