Bataan High School For the Arts Students Impress at Moscow Gala Concert in Manila

PASAY CITY – The Office of the Vice President, through Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Atty. Zuleika T. Lopez, joined the Russian Ambassador, H.E. Marat Ignatyevich Pavlov and the teachers and students from the Bataan High School for the Arts (BHSA), at a Moscow Gala Concert last January 30, held at the Aliw Theater, CCP Complex, Pasay City.

The BHSA is known for its exceptional music program and full scholarships to students who want to excel in the fields of Visual Arts, Theater Arts, Media Arts, Creative Writing, Folk Dance, Ballet, and Music. The school aims to improve and hone the talents and skills of its students while promoting the Philippine culture and arts. The participation of the BHSA in the Moscow Gala Concert provided a unique opportunity for its students to connect with other culture and art enthusiasts from around the world.

The event featured the Moscow Academic Dance Theater “Gzhel”, a group of world-class dancers founded in 1988, offering an exciting musical journey to Russia through various Russian folk dances with colorful costumes, energetic music and precise choreography. The concert was a celebration of music and arts that bring people together to promote cultural exchanges and understanding.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Manila is committed to promoting cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy between the Philippines and Russia. The Moscow Gala Concert was just one of many initiatives of H.E. Ambassador Pavlov aimed at fostering strong cultural ties between the two countries.
