MANDALUYONG CITY, 07 November 2022 – Bangladeshi Ambassador F.M. Borhan Uddin called on Vice President Sara Z. Duterte at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) Central Office in Mandaluyong City.
During the call, Ambassador Uddin updated the Vice President on recent developments in Bangladesh in the economic sector, trade and investments, and education sector. The Ambassador highlighted the historic relationship between the Philippines and Bangladesh, the former being one of the first countries to recognize their independence in 1971.

They also discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations through cooperation on education.
The Philippines and Bangladesh are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations in 2022.
