The Office of Vice President Leni Robredo and the Quezon City Government, led by Mayor Joy Belmonte, launched on Thursday, August 12, 2021, Vaccine Express - Quezon City at the Robinsons Novaliches Open Parking. The two-day vaccination initiative is open for jeepney and tricycle operators and drivers, as well as delivery riders. This is part of OVP's continuing efforts to provide support to local government units in further expanding their vaccination drives. The office has previously brought the initiative to the City of Manila and the cities of Naga and Iriga in Camarines Sur—also in partnership with their LGUs. For Vaccine Express - Quezon City, operators, drivers and delivery riders are pre-registered with the local government, and will each receive a post-vaccination care kit, a P500 gift check for groceries, and various products courtesy of OVP’s Angat Buhay partners. The initiative is also made possible by the generosity of private sector partners—Robinsons Novaliches, UBE Express, Puregold Price Club Inc., Integrated Waste Mgt., Inc.; Smart Communications, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Ramesh Trading Corporation, Equilibrium and Curve Collaborators, Pioneer Adhesives, Fruitas Holdings Incorporated, Mate Mate, and other Angat Buhay partners—as well as by some 400 volunteer doctors, nurses and medical students. Also assisting the OVP and Quezon City LGU are members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ 525th Engineer Combat Battalion, 51st Engineer Brigade, and the city’s Task Force Disiplina. Posted in Featured Articles, Photo Releases, VP's Day on Jun 22, 2021

Vice President Leni Robredo’s office, in partnership with the City Government of Manila under the leadership of Mayor Isko Moreno, rolled out its two-day Vaccine Express on Tuesday, June 22, to bring vaccination to target sectors and communities. The Vaccine Express aims to make vaccination accessible for economic frontliners who belong to the A4 priority group. For its initial run, the initiative will inoculate tricycle, pedicab, and delivery riders with vaccines provided by the Manila City LGU. VP Leni and Mayor Isko personally visited the city’s first drive-through vaccination site, held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) activity grounds in Malate, Manila. This was made possible through the OVP and Manila City LGU’s cooperation with CCP, UBE Express, and SMART, Inc. The OVP also partnered with Seaoil Philippines and Shell Philippines in giving free P500 gas cards to drivers and riders who availed of the vaccination service. Hundreds of doctors and nurses—some of whom already joined the OVP’s free teleconsultation services Bayanihan e-Konsulta—also responded to the OVP’s call and volunteered as screeners and vaccinators. Medical students from various schools also took part in the vaccination drive. As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the OVP Vaccine Express has vaccinated more than 1,500 individuals.
