Posted in Statements on Aug 21, 2020

Message of Vice President Leni Robredo on Ninoy Aquino Day

Every year, on August 21, we remember Senator Ninoy Aquino.

We remember his death: How he was murdered before he even set foot on the tarmac, coming home from exile to continue the struggle for our freedoms and dignities. We remember why he was killed: For speaking truth to power. For believing that we deserve better as a people. For hoping, and acting on that hope, and being brave enough to lay down his life for that hope.

Most of all, we remember what his death meant for the entire nation. Sa halip na matakot, lalo tayong tumapang. S...

    • Pahayag ni Vice President Leni Robredo ukol sa Pagbasura ng Kamara sa Franchise Renewal ng ABS-CBN

Posted in Statements on Jul 10, 2020

Posted in Statements on Jun 12, 2020

STATEMENT OF VICE PRESIDENT LENI ROBREDO ON THE ANTI-TERRORISM ACT OF 2020

Statement of Vice President Leni Robredo on the 3rd Anniversary of the Marawi Siege

Today, we mark the third anniversary of the Marawi Siege. To this day, the city lies in ruins, and its people’s lives are frozen in time. Many of its residents remain in temporary shelter communities.

Marawi continues to suffer even as we all face the challenges brought about by COVID-19. The ongoing crisis should have by now made us realize: The suffering of one redounds to the suffering of all.
