Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday, July 3, visited sewing groups in Bulacan, which are part of her office's local production of protective suits for frontliners.
These groups include the Kababaihang Lingkod Barangay ng San Rafael (Kabalingay) in the town of San Rafael, where locally produced PPE suits are made by a sewing community in Brgy. Pulong Bayabas, one of the poorest towns in the municipality; a sewing community composed of mothers and youth under the Mother Laura Gertrude Seland Foundation, Inc. in the town of Sta. Vice President Leni Robredo led the formal opening of the second site of The Oasis Project in Quirino Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. An initiative under the Office of the Vice President's COVID-19 Response Operations, The Oasis Project provides temporary shelters for medical frontliners.The project was made possible by the OVP's collaboration with private sector partners, with a shared vision of creating a "haven" where frontliners can "rest and recharge" amid the challenges brought by COVID-19. These include the following: Rotary Club of San Juan del Monte; IKEA Philippines; Architect Peach Buencamino; interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario; Shirley Sanders of Gardens by Sanders; Ronnie Traballo of Bomanite; Elizabeth Cheng; Nippon Paint; the 51st Engineering Brigade of the Philippine Army; Matrix Appliances PH; Philip and Sherwin Yao of Graceline Furniture; Aboitiz Foundation; Pangilinan Fabric and Leather Supply; Zendaya Emmanuel Go; Majie, Mhay, Alaine and Queenie of CCBA KAMATIS; and Tin Bejar, Gel Bejar, and Marie Catalan.

Vice President Leni Robredo visited on Thursday, May 28, 2020, the Pasig Mega Market in Pasig City, where her office launched its Community Mart program this week, in partnership with the City Government of Pasig.
Together with Mayor Vico Sotto, VP Leni was able to meet members of the Community Mart - Pasig Mega Market team from both the OVP and the local government of Pasig, as well as the tricycle drivers who are part of the program. She was also able to observe the operations of the public market as safety measures are currently observed.
The Community Mart program is an app-based delivery service that aims to help small market vendors and tricycle drivers affected by the ECQ. On its first day, the Community Mart - Pasig Mega Market’s total sales reached more than P71,000.
The program was first launched in the Kamuning Public Market, in partnership with the Quezon City Government. Sales for Community Mart there reached over P500,000 on its first week.

Vice President Leni Robredo paid a visit to Kamuning Market on Sunday, May 17, 2020, to check on the implementation of the Community Mart program that the Office of the Vice President piloted there in partnership with the Quezon City Government.
Through Community Mart, customers may shop at Kamuning Market through an app and have goods like fruits, vegetables, and meats delivered to their homes. The service helps small market vendors and tricycle drivers who have been affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
For this ongoing pilot run, Community Mart serves the following barangays in Quezon City:
* Sacred Heart
* Laging Handa
* South Triangle
* Roxas District

The Office of Vice President Leni Robredo purchased P14 million-worth of test kits developed by scientists from the University of the Philippines, in its aim to further help in efforts for testing for COVID-19.
On Friday, April 24, 2020, VP Leni met with microbiologist and infectious diseases expert Dr. Raul Destura, during her visit to Manila HealthTek, Inc., which manufactures the test kits. Dr. Destura led the team from the University of the Philippines - National Institutes of Health and Philippine Genome Center in developing the product.
The sets bought by the OVP will be delivered to the following hospitals certified as laboratories for COVID-19 testing:
• San Lazaro Hospital
• Lung Center of the Philippines
• V. Luna Hospital
• Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory
These include detection and extraction kits, which will help in conducting a total of 10,000 tests.
Prior to this, Robredo’s office had already delivered P5.3 million-worth of extraction kits to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
